Reflecting on Our Journey with Chromatix Hue

As the HD Awards approach for 2025, I can’t help but reflect on our incredible win during the early days of Chromatix Hue. Developing a collection that received a global design award was a defining moment for us. It prompted me to ask, “What can I do even better next time?”

Learning from Setbacks

Each experience teaches us something valuable. One significant setback was revamping our first collection to eliminate all products containing PFAS. This decision meant losing half of our line, which was devastating for a new business. However, we managed to survive this challenge.

Now, as we focus on safety and sustainability, I feel optimistic. Our steps backward have positioned us to leap forward in the future. Adapting our offerings to be safer for the environment has become our new mission. It’s a journey that encourages growth and innovation.

Inspiration from the Next Generation

My time teaching at Maryville University has also provided inspiration. Engaging with young minds and creatives in the St. Louis area is both exciting and enlightening. Observing what these students consider “cool” is incredibly intriguing. It reminds me of the importance of staying connected to new ideas while continuing to evolve.

Cherishing Our Roots

Throughout the journey, I always remind myself of where we started. For Chromatix Hue, that was with the Let's Begin Collection, a name that captured our mission perfectly. Now, as we mature, we are thrilled to announce plans for two new collections. The excitement for what lies ahead is palpable.

Embracing Change and Growth

Change is a vital part of any business’s evolution. Our initial challenges have helped us develop a clearer understanding of our brand and our goals. By prioritizing environmental responsibility, we not only comply with regulations but also fulfill our commitment to our customers and the planet.
